About the Team

The People Operations and Insights team is dedicated to driving rigorous project management practices within the People team and its partners. They enable innovative and collaborative People programs that help meet collective objectives and promote sustainable growth.

Role Overview

In the role of Project Manager, you will collaborate across various People pillars to ensure successful delivery across projects, programs, and portfolios that impact multiple areas. You will manage projects end-to-end and navigate complex organizational structures using structured project management approaches to deliver and implement priority initiatives effectively within the team and for users.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently address challenging and unclear issues by defining problems and leading projects through to recommendations.
• Create and execute detailed project plans, optimize processes, and keep stakeholders engaged and informed throughout.
• Track project status, foresee risks, and actively apply mitigation tactics to achieve timely success.
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as legal, finance, and engineering to enhance procedures and controls.
• Enforce strong project governance to ensure all activities, decisions, and milestones comply with standards and best practices.
• Develop presentations and materials for senior leadership, stakeholders, and users.
• Promote collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement culture within the People team.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of seven years’ experience in project management, operations, strategy, or consulting, including at least two years within an HR team.
• Proven ability to handle complexity and drive results balancing urgency with thoughtful analysis.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with HR, finance, legal, product, technology, and leadership groups.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-focused approach to inform decisions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Asana, Jira, Airtable, and methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Ability to build trust and alignment across teams through strong collaborative skills.
• Capability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-growing environment managing several projects concurrently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci ADKAR® Model).
• Experience creating and implementing enablement and training content.
• Knowledge of HR systems including HCM, ATS, LMS, and CRM.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity.
• Advanced skills using Mac OS and Google Suite applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Work Location and Schedule

This position offers flexibility to work remotely or from an office location. Remote employees are defined as working at least 35 miles from any Stripe office. While attending occasional onsite meetings and events is expected, the main work location is home-based. Employees assigned to offices are expected to spend at least half of their working time monthly at their local office or engaging directly with users.

Compensation and Benefits

The role's annual salary range in the US is between $127,600 and $191,400, varying based on level, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits may include company equity, bonuses or sales commissions where applicable, 401(k) retirement plans, medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as wellness stipends.
