Position Overview
The Los Angeles Dodgers are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to manage and oversee the organization's payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This full-time role reports to the Director of Payroll within the Finance and Accounting department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls using the UKG system while maintaining adherence to compliance and precision.
- Keep comprehensive payroll records and documentation in line with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in timecard entries such as missing punches or incorrect data.
- Reconcile deductions related to Medical and Fringe benefits and collaborate with the Benefits team to verify their accuracy.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external agencies, including employment verifications.
- Support year-end payroll procedures, audits, and special payroll projects as necessary.
- Work closely with the accounting department to manage payroll reconciliations, accruals, and related general ledger entries.
Candidate Qualifications
- Preferably experienced with the UKG system or comparable HRIS software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, and MATCH.
- Capable of managing sensitive information with professionalism and interacting at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and solid numerical skills.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to reprioritize tasks effectively as needed.
- Two to three years of relevant payroll experience.
- Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Compensation
The hourly pay rate ranges from $29 to $31, depending on experience, skills, education, and training.
