Payroll Specialist

About the Role

We are collaborating with a reputable Irish company located in Trim, County Meath, currently undergoing growth and looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to become part of their finance division. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this position entails full responsibility for the entire payroll lifecycle, ensuring employees receive accurate and timely payments compliant with Irish payroll laws and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute weekly and four-weekly payroll processes from initiation to completion.
• Utilize CollSoft payroll software for payroll processing.
• Guarantee adherence to Revenue requirements and national payroll legislation.
• Manage payroll systems for personnel working internationally.
• Handle payroll activities including onboarding, offboarding, salary adjustments, bonuses, overtime, pension contributions, and statutory deductions.
• Prepare and submit required documentation to Revenue and maintain detailed payroll records.
• Reconcile payroll reports and investigate any discrepancies that arise.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and coordinate closely with Human Resources and Finance teams.
• Assist in preparing payroll journals and support month-end financial reporting processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 4 years’ experience as a Payroll Specialist or Payroll Administrator.
• In-depth understanding of Irish payroll legislation and requirements of the Revenue Commissioners.
• Possession of an IPASS qualification is highly preferred.
• Experience with CollSoft payroll software would be advantageous.
• Ability to manage payroll for employees based overseas is considered beneficial.
