About the Role

This position operates primarily at South University Clinic within the Scheduling Department (1006860 SCHEDULING - EH SS). The Patient Scheduler II manages pre-registration and booking for patients' appointments, procedures, tests, and other healthcare services. Key duties include handling incoming calls, managing follow-up and referral workflows, coordinating scheduling tickets, and communicating with patient care teams to guarantee appropriate and timely care. The role also involves completing patient checkout processes, scheduling subsequent visits per physician directives, and providing cost estimates and appointment itineraries.
The Patient Scheduler II should demonstrate expertise in scheduling across numerous service lines within Essentia Health, operating effectively in a fast-paced setting with high call volumes and numerous work queues.
Qualifications
Applicants must have graduated from programs such as LPN, Medical Secretary, Health Unit Coordinator, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, EMT, or related fields.
