On the supply side, Zoni partners with ISPs across Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt, offering them a specialized Partner Relationship Management (PRM) dashboard to oversee coverage, leads, team management, KYC compliance, and billing procedures. Zoni's mission is to become the definitive source of broadband data in Nigeria, centralizing ISP collaboration at its core.
Role Overview
The Partner Relationship Manager will take full responsibility for managing relationships with ISP partners. This role bridges Zoni with the ISPs, from onboarding and negotiating agreements to optimizing partner performance and ensuring the PRM platform delivers tangible value. The position demands a blend of relationship management skills and operational rigor, with an in-depth understanding of Nigeria's broadband market and the ability to navigate technology-driven management tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate and engage qualified ISPs within Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt for onboarding.
- Lead negotiation and execution of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) contracts with new ISP partners.
- Coordinate essential processes such as KYC verification, coverage area mapping, and service plan configuration using the PRM system.
- Ensure partners become fully active and proficient with lead reception within the initial 30 days.
- Act as the main contact for a designated portfolio of ISP partners, conducting business reviews and monitoring KPIs to reveal growth possibilities.
- Address and resolve partner concerns, escalating operational or technical challenges to internal teams as needed.
- Boost partner performance metrics including lead conversion rates, response times, and installation success.
- Propose featured marketplace placements, promotions, and other optimizations for high-performing partners.
- Identify underperforming partner accounts promptly and collaborate on recovery strategies.
- Gather partner feedback to assist product, engineering, and operations teams in refining the PRM dashboard, coverage tools, and billing workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, records, and partner handbook standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth partner and customer experiences.
- Provide support with billing reconciliations, resolving disputes, and managing team seats.
Candidate Profile
- 3 to 6 years of experience in partner management, account management, business development, or ISP/telecom operations.
- Deep knowledge of the Nigerian ISP landscape.
- Demonstrated success managing business-to-business relationships and meeting commercial goals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging with executive and technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
- Experience using CRM or comparable dashboard platforms with the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred qualifications: Existing relationships within Nigerian ISPs or telecom sector; experience with marketplaces, SaaS, or platform businesses; familiarity with KYC processes, coverage mapping, or field operations; data-oriented mindset with capability to analyze and utilize KPIs.
