Job description
Position Overview
Isaac Regional Council is looking for a proactive and practical Parks Maintenance Officer to support the upkeep and improvement of parks, sports fields, community recreational spaces, cemeteries, and other open areas across the region. This role is vital for delivering excellent grounds maintenance services, ensuring these spaces are safe, welcoming, and pleasant for the community and visitors.
Role Responsibilities
You will be tasked with maintaining and enhancing community parks and recreation areas, including carrying out repairs and upgrades to irrigation systems essential to the upkeep of these facilities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a Blue/White Construction Card
- Current Australian drivers licence of class C Open
- At least 12 months of relevant work experience
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from $70,543 to $73,257 (Stream B, Level 3 – 5)
- Work schedule consists of approximately 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday
- Five weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
- Rostered days off in line with Council Policy
- Superannuation contributions up to 14.5% according to Council policy
