About Queensland Rail and Role Overview

As an Operator Maintainer, you will be joining the Regional Assets team focused on sustaining the rail network’s safety and reliability across regional Queensland, specifically from the Bohle depot in Townsville.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery in strict accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance for all track and auxiliary equipment.
- Coordinate with the Resurfacing Supervisor for task management and program timelines.
- Provide assistance to tradespeople for mechanical and electrical repairs.
- Maintain accurate administrative records promptly and efficiently.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience operating civil or mobile plant machinery.
- Current valid driver’s licence.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and workplace safety culture.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work across regional Queensland.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
