Position Summary
Renvolt is expanding its Operations & Maintenance team in Ireland to support the Ballymoneen 139MW Solar Power Facility. This technician role requires living near the site, preferably in or around Galway, to ensure quick response and effective on-site support. The O&M Technician reports directly to the Site Manager and is instrumental in maintaining optimal plant performance through technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt on-site and remote troubleshooting, devising and implementing fault remedies to restore production swiftly.
- Execute specialized technical maintenance tasks onsite.
- Engage in Integrated Commissioning and Start-up activities.
- Perform thorough on-site technical assessments.
- Generate technical documentation and reports to support claim processes.
- Conduct training sessions and technical workshops to enhance maintenance skills across teams.
- Contribute to the advancement of maintenance management systems and processes.
- Advocate for improved and efficient maintenance best practices and tools.
- Disseminate industry standards and high-quality operational practices.
- Support development of reliability analyses and failure investigations.
- Monitor and audit existing procedures and ongoing maintenance operations to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of an electrical qualification is required.
- Preferably experience in commissioning and maintaining photovoltaic power plants.
- Knowledge of electronics, automation fault detection, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Familiarity with Maintenance Management standards and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience operating SCADA and remote control systems.
- An advantage if experienced with data acquisition and communications technologies.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and reporting tools.
- Fluency in English including reading, writing, and speaking is essential.
- Physical capability to perform onsite technical activities.
- Valid Irish driving license is mandatory.
