Job description
Position Overview
As the Night Manager at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort, you will oversee the evening operations ensuring smooth guest services. You will manage cashier and closing reports through the computer system and maintain detailed documentation of shift activities via logbooks. Your role involves promptly addressing guest requests and resolving issues by coordinating with departments such as Bell Services and Housekeeping.
Guest Services & Operations
- Handle all guest check-ins by verifying reservations and guest identities, securing payment methods, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys.
- Facilitate room sales to walk-in guests depending on availability, ensuring rates match market codes and properly documenting any exceptions.
- Manage charges to guest rooms from various outlets by scanning and applying bills correctly.
Team Support and Compliance
- Assist management in staff training, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching while exemplifying company policies.
- Serve as the first contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy and maintain a safe work environment by reporting incidents and completing required safety certifications.
- Adhere strictly to company standards regarding appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.
Guest Interaction and Communication
- Welcome guests warmly and meet service expectations by anticipating and addressing their needs, including support for individuals with disabilities.
- Utilize clear, professional communication in person and over the phone, and cultivate positive workplace relationships.
Physical and Additional Duties
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds throughout shifts.
- Fulfill other reasonable responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least one year of relevant work experience along with one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
- No specific licenses or certifications required.
