Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team primarily serving the Dorset area. This position demands a broad trades background, with proven skills in bathroom and kitchen fitting, plastering, tiling, and painting. The role involves handling a combination of both planned projects and urgent reactive maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform a range of maintenance and repair duties including fitting bathrooms and kitchens, plastering, tiling, and painting.
- Deliver high-quality workmanship across both planned and unplanned maintenance jobs.
- Maintain excellent customer service, often while customers are present on site.
- Drive and operate a company van to travel between job sites as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar multi-trade operative role, ideally within the housing sector.
- Competency in at least plumbing and carpentry disciplines.
- Hold a valid driving licence eligible to drive a company van and meet insurance standards.
- Commitment to BCHA's values, with a passion for supporting individuals experiencing homelessness or in need of affordable housing.
- Willingness to develop additional skills through personalized training opportunities.
Additional Information
- Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Company van, smartphone, uniform, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
