Job description
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Cleaner II who excels in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and industrial locations. This role requires independent work, traveling to multiple sites, performing both routine and specialized cleaning tasks, and ensuring safe, welcoming environments for clients and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, common areas, washrooms, and other workspaces.
- Replenish washroom supplies and dispose of waste and recyclables appropriately.
- Clean interior glass, entrance areas, and maintain external grounds by picking up litter.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks including carpet and upholstery cleaning, floor stripping and refinishing, and pressure washing outdoor surfaces.
- Operate specialized cleaning machinery like auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, and floor-care equipment.
- Execute high-level dusting and detailed cleaning projects, as well as emergency cleanup such as spills or contamination events.
- Remove snow and ice hazards from walkways and entrances when necessary.
- Carry out quality inspections, document completed work with photos and reports, and report any facility maintenance issues.
- Assist in repairing and installing washroom dispensers and related equipment.
- Move cleaning supplies and equipment between different sites as required.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental regulations to promote a safe working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional cleaning settings.
- Proficient in using professional cleaning tools and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, WHMIS, and safety standards.
- Self-driven, dependable, well-organized, and attentive to details.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort with smartphone, tablet, and digital reporting technologies.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 35 pounds and performing frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movements.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable transportation for site travel.
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work Environment and Schedule
- Availability for day, evening, or night shifts as scheduled.
- On-call duties and emergency response readiness are expected.
- Regular travel among multiple client locations within the assigned portfolio.
