Job Overview

As a Millwright, you will play an essential role in installing, maintaining, and repairing various mechanical equipment such as cranes, pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors, and production machinery. This position demands the ability to diagnose mechanical issues using auditory and visual inspection, dismantle equipment for repairs, and understand detailed technical diagrams and manuals. A strong mechanical aptitude alongside expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, power transmission, welding, rigging, and pipe fitting is required. Independence and project management skills are crucial.

Work Schedule and Environment

• This is a part-time, onsite position based in Texarkana, AR.
• The role involves 12-hour shifts, predominantly night shifts for new hires, following a 2-2-3 continuous rotation schedule allowing for alternating three-day weekends.
• The industrial setting is fast-paced and physically demanding, with variable environmental conditions including heat, cold, and noise.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, eye protection, protective apparel, and steel-toed footwear, is mandatory.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum education needed is a high school diploma, GED, or Career Readiness Certification with at least a Silver level.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
• Physical capabilities including lifting heavy items, climbing, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, and working at heights are required, with accommodations where reasonable.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a Millwright or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program in the trade.
• Comprehensive knowledge of common metals’ physical properties such as strength and hardness.
• Successful completion of an aptitude test and practical assessment conducted by an external evaluator.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting hourly wage is $33.55 for Singlecraft Millwrights with $40.05 per hour for those enrolled in the Multicraft program, which is accessible twice a year post-qualification.
• A sign-on bonus totaling $10,000 is offered, including $4,000 payable within 30 days of starting.
