About Knoxxi and the Role
Knoxxi Health Limited is pioneering the future of healthcare by integrating longitudinal health data, continuous monitoring, AI-assisted clinical insights, and professional medical care into one cohesive platform. We aim to transform healthcare from reactive, episodic care to proactive and personalized continuous monitoring and prevention.
We are currently building our founding Knoxxi Clinical Team and inviting Medical Officers to join us in Accra, Ghana. Positions are available on full-time, part-time, sessional, and contract bases with competitive pay aligned to experience.
Role Overview
This unique clinical position merges traditional clinical practice with preventive medicine, continuous patient monitoring, AI-supported decision-making tools, and clinical research activities. Medical Officers will conduct both virtual and physical consultations, manage acute and chronic conditions, and play a vital role in early intervention and long-term disease management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled in-person and virtual patient consultations.
- Review patients' medical histories, vital signs, screening outcomes, and health trends.
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic illnesses.
- Support preventive care efforts, early intervention, and chronic disease management plans.
- Create treatment, follow-up, and referral plans tailored to individual patients.
- Utilize AI-assisted clinical decision support systems to enhance clinical judgments.
- Collaborate closely with specialists and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate actively in clinical research, including designing protocols and reviewing data.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and care pathways within Knoxxi Clinical Services.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess an MBChB, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
- Hold a valid license in good standing from the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana (MDC).
- Completed mandatory housemanship or internship training.
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgement combined with excellent communication skills.
- Be comfortable with digital healthcare environments and virtual consultation technology.
- Show a keen interest in preventive medicine, health data analytics, and technology-enabled care delivery.
- While prior AI expertise is not mandatory, curiosity about integrating technology into clinical practice is essential.
Additional Information
Joining Knoxxi Clinical Services at the ground level offers unique chances to influence clinical protocols, AI workflows, chronic disease programs, telemedicine practices, clinical governance, and innovative preventive care models. Clinicians interested in research may engage in studies leveraging Knoxxi's longitudinal health data with potential for future academic contributions.
The healthcare approach emphasizes continuous cycles of monitoring, risk identification, clinician review, intervention, and ongoing follow-up to shift the model from isolated encounters to continuous patient care.
