Mechanical Technician - After Sales (Power Generation)

About the Role

Join our After Sales team in Jeddah as a Mechanical Technician focusing on power generation. This role centers on servicing diesel generator mechanical systems, including installation, commissioning, routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs at various client locations to ensure high operational reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on diesel generators (Gensets).
• Identify and resolve mechanical issues in diesel engines and generator subsystems.
• Execute installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up procedures of generators.
• Inspect, service, and replace mechanical parts such as cooling systems, fuel lines, lubrication circuits, belts, hoses, pumps, and engine components.
• Interpret mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and service documents with accuracy.
• Utilize mechanical instruments and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults.
• Document maintenance activities and prepare service reports following each site visit.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Offer technical guidance and maintenance advice to customers.
• Travel regionally to client sites as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting diesel generators.
• In-depth understanding of diesel engines and associated mechanical systems including cooling, fuel, and lubrication networks.
• Competency in reading and comprehending mechanical blueprints and technical documentation.
• Proficient in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Effective communication abilities and strong customer service orientation.
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Possession of a valid driving license is advantageous.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work when required.
