About the Role
Join Vertiv's Letterkenny facility as a Mechanical Operator specializing in Busbar installation, contributing to a team with over 30 years of expertise in power solutions across multiple continents. This role calls for hands-on support of manufacturing processes through safe operation of production machinery, quality monitoring, and achieving daily targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in the manufacturing process.
- Monitor the performance and quality outputs of production tasks consistently.
- Perform routine machine setups, make necessary adjustments, and handle basic troubleshooting when required.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures and scheduled production plans.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, production difficulties, or deviations promptly.
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily production targets effectively.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness, safety standards, and organised environment.
- Respect all Health & Safety and Quality guidelines during operations.
- Participate in shift rotations and overtime duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in operating machinery within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Capability to follow detailed instructions and established operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, emphasizing quality in work output.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Practical experience with Busbar installation.
- Forklift operating experience.
Preferable Qualifications
- Prior work experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Basic understanding or hands-on experience with mechanical or electromechanical systems.
- Experience working in shift patterns is preferred.
