About JFC Group and Position Overview

They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Evolution R&D division at the headquarters in Tuam, County Galway, Ireland. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a cross-disciplinary development team working on innovative high-technology solutions for the agricultural industry. Primary Responsibilities
- Develop new products within the Evolution R&D team framework.
- Build prototypes and execute laboratory and field tests to validate designs.
- Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
- Generate comprehensive testing reports outlining results and findings.
- Collaborate closely with software and electronics teams to integrate control systems.
- Lead mechanical design from initial concept through all development phases.
- Participate in and contribute to technical design reviews.
- Manage project development timelines and schedules effectively.
- Document designs and specifications in compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Engineering Team Lead.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- Holder of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of three years’ industrial experience in a design-oriented role.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of design for manufacture principles.
- Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and risk assessment methods is highly advantageous.
- Strong team collaboration skills combined with a result-driven focus.
- Excellent written and oral communication capabilities.
- Competency in root cause analysis techniques.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Exposure to high-volume manufacturing settings is beneficial.
- Possession of a valid full driving license.
