Position Overview
The role requires a senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to steer the design, development, and continuous enhancement of factory information and automation systems in a cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing setting. The focus is on crafting data-centric tools for equipment management, factory reporting, and automation, improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and automation units to outline manufacturing system architecture and data flows.
- Design and deploy real-time factory reporting tools and equipment management dashboards.
- Oversee integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with factory machines, data platforms, and enterprise infrastructures.
- Establish automation needs for new and existing manufacturing processes, translating these into actionable software specifications.
- Lead implementation of automation methods aimed at boosting factory throughput, yield, and equipment use.
- Create acceptance criteria and testing protocols to validate system accuracy and reliability.
- Perform system audits and reviews to ensure standards compliance.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of system issues with IT, engineering, and equipment teams.
- Serve as a technical bridge between manufacturing, IT, and engineering departments, leading cross-functional projects.
- Deliver training and resources to promote system adoption and mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- At least 7 years experience with semiconductor manufacturing systems, MES, or factory automation.
- Proven leadership in managing technical teams and complex system deployments.
- In-depth knowledge of MES platforms such as Camstar, Applied SmartFactory, or Fab300.
- Expertise in equipment integration, data acquisition, and factory control systems.
- Strong coding and scripting skills in languages like Python, SQL, and JavaScript, with database and API familiarity.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Industry 4.0 solutions, digital twins, or manufacturing advanced analytics.
- Understanding of SEMI standards including SECS/GEM and EDA.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud manufacturing platforms.
- Certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma.
