About the Team
The Trust & Safety team is dedicated to ensuring a secure online environment by utilizing both manual and automated moderation processes to swiftly remove harmful content, often before it reaches the broader community.
Role Overview
The Long-Term Containment (LTC) team focuses on sustainable risk management within the containment phase, emphasizing comprehensive and lasting enforcement actions to prevent reoccurrence of issues related to Violent Behaviours and Dangerous Actors. Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the global strategy for long-term containment of Violent Behaviours and Dangerous Actors, managing a team of analysts to ensure continuous, durable enforcement.
- Collaborate with program managers to provide insights that influence policy, product, and operational improvements targeting sustained safety outcomes.
- Directly manage team performance, goals, and roadmap with accountability for metrics such as escalation reduction, prevalence decline, recidivism rates, and content discoverability.
- Shift the approach from reactive incident handling to systemic and resilient containment methods in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Define success criteria and promote scalable mitigation strategies, including cluster and network data analysis, to standardize best practices globally.
- Represent the team to internal leadership, cross-functional partners, and external safety bodies, effectively communicating enforcement insights influencing large-scale risk management strategies.
- Ensure operational excellence across planning, OKRs, workforce planning, and champion the well-being and resilience of team members exposed to challenging content.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least five years in Trust & Safety, Risk, or related fields, including hands-on experience leading and growing teams of individual contributors across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated expertise addressing Violent Behaviours and Dangerous Actors with a strong record of implementing systemic, long-lasting mitigations beyond immediate incident management.
- Proficient in data analysis and collaboration with data science and product teams to transform large datasets into decisive, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross-functional objectives.
- Committed to fostering analyst health and trauma-informed operational practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience directing enforcement relating to counter-terrorism, violent extremism, dangerous organizations, or organized hate on a large digital platform, focusing on durable results rather than isolated case handling.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI and Large Language Models into Trust & Safety workflows, enhancing investigation efficiency, enforcement accuracy, and detection of adversarial content.
