Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Laboratory Technician position located in Riyadh involves conducting routine and advanced laboratory tests, maintaining and operating lab equipment, and preparing samples following established protocols. The technician will carry out quality control measures, document test findings accurately, and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions immediately. Additional duties include assisting with instrument calibration and troubleshooting, ensuring correct labeling and storage of specimens, and adhering rigorously to safety and infection control regulations. The role requires working collaboratively with both laboratory and clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow and dependable diagnostic results.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Solid hands-on experience with fundamental laboratory procedures and strong laboratory skills.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Thorough understanding of quality control practices and adherence to standardized testing methodologies.
• Analytical proficiency to interpret test outcomes and detect anomalies effectively.
• Previous experience in laboratory technician roles or similar clinical laboratory environments.
• Possession of a diploma or bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection prevention, and correct specimen handling protocols.
• Meticulous attention to detail, ability to document results correctly, and capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Capacity to work efficiently within a team and manage workload in a busy laboratory setting.
• Professional certification or licensure in laboratory sciences is a plus, where applicable.
