Role Overview

We seek a driven Junior Podcast Video Editor to join our team in a remote, part-time capacity. This position is crucial for producing and distributing quality podcast episodes and promotional content. Your role includes editing both audio and video to enhance engagement, transcribing episodes, crafting eye-catching social media clips, and managing episode publication to broaden our audience reach. You will work under the guidance of a Producer who sets creative direction, workflow standards, and processes. Candidates should be prepared to share a media portfolio demonstrating their editing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Edit podcast audio and video using tools like Descript, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and AI-powered software to deliver polished content with balanced sound, noise reduction, and smooth transitions.
Produce accurate transcripts and compelling show notes utilizing AI assistance.
Create captivating video shorts and promotional materials to maximize listener engagement.
Manage episode scheduling and distribution across podcast platforms and social media channels, ensuring punctual and consistent releases.
Maintain high content quality by proactively addressing technical issues in audio and video production.
Collaborate closely with the host and team to align episode themes, structure, and promotional efforts.
Analyze engagement data to refine content and marketing strategies continually.
Document and refine production workflows by developing and updating SOPs, tools, and checklists for efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of 2 years experience in video editing.
Familiarity or willingness to master editing platforms such as Descript and other AI-based tools.
Knowledge of social media management and scheduling software.
Dependable and dedicated to meeting deadlines and maintaining responsibility.
Strong communicator capable of clear idea exchange and teamwork.
Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining content consistency and quality.
