Job Overview
This role is based in the production department, focusing on manufacturing processes in granulation, compression, and coating operations. The Junior Officer will ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), GxP standards, and environmental health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all applicable regulatory guidelines including cGMP and EH&S protocols.
- Complete training programs on relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) prior to executing tasks.
- Execute all operational activities according to approved SOPs and promptly report any difficulties, deviations, quality issues, or improvement suggestions to supervisors or managers.
- Supervise batch manufacturing and processing of assigned products as per Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Manage handling and movement of raw materials, bulk, semi-finished, and finished goods efficiently.
- Operate, wash, and maintain production equipment and accessories following SOP guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the work area and machines, complying with GMP standards.
- Support Quality Management Systems by reporting discrepancies, non-conformities, or abnormalities to the Department and QA Heads.
- Oversee Receipt of raw and packaging materials from warehouse ensuring area cleanliness.
- Perform operations with online documentation as required by SOPs and BMRs.
- Follow personal hygiene and organizational rules set by HR before entering production areas.
- Conduct in-process checks and accurately record results in documents as applicable.
- Participate in training related to cGMP, job roles, safety, health, and hygiene to meet current standards.
- Contribute to cost-effectiveness by controlling overtime, expenses and achieving standard yield.
- Monitor environmental conditions critically to adhere to BMR and SOP requirements.
- Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment according to schedule with results meeting quality standards.
- Perform line clearance activities between batch changes in compliance with SOP.
- Manage issuance, retrieval and destruction of manufacturing tools and materials such as dies, punches, product bags, and related accessories.
- Ensure compliance during audits and assist troubleshooting in machinery and process issues as needed.
- Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Production Head.
- Attend cGMP, on-the-job, and functional training as per the training planner.
Experience and Qualifications
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in production or manufacturing environment.
- Educational qualifications include graduation in science, diploma in pharmacy, or engineering.
