Role overview
The Junior Crew Member will play a hands-on role in delivering a high-quality customer experience in a busy restaurant setting. This position involves serving guests, preparing menu items, keeping the venue clean, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations alongside the rest of the team.
Key duties
- Welcome guests warmly and take orders quickly and accurately.
- Prepare food in line with Burger Urge recipes and standards, including cooking, grilling, frying, and assembling items.
- Keep the kitchen, dining areas, and restrooms clean and hygienic.
- Use and maintain equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
- Process cash and card payments while keeping sales records accurate.
- Work closely with teammates so orders are completed correctly and on time.
- Take part in training and stay current on policies, procedures, and menu updates.

What the company is looking for
Ideal applicants should be personable, service-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Good organisation, time management, and teamwork are important, along with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays. Prior experience in a quick service restaurant is an advantage, but it is not essential.
Mandatory requirements
- A Food Safety Certificate is required.
- Applicants must have valid working rights; international candidates need passport and visa documentation.
- An RSA Certificate must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
Additional information
This role is located in Mackay, Andergrove, Queensland, Australia. The position is full-time and onsite. The vacancy will stay open for 4 weeks unless a suitable candidate is found sooner. Applicants are asked to submit a resume outlining relevant experience and qualifications.
