IT Operations Manager

Role overview

This is a full-time on-site IT Operations Manager position based in Singapore, offered on a 1-year renewable contract. The role focuses on keeping infrastructure services reliable, secure, and well-governed while supporting day-to-day operations and improvement initiatives.

What you will do

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure and operational support services, including end-user computing environments.
• Manage infrastructure services handled by outsourcing partners and managed service providers, covering vendor coordination, contract administration, and billing-related matters.
• Take the lead on, or contribute to, infrastructure projects such as technology refreshes, system upgrades, cloud migration work, and deployment of new infrastructure capabilities.
• Handle routine IT operations tasks, including incident handling, service request completion, change coordination, and application support.
• Plan and coordinate IT disaster recovery activities, including testing, recovery planning, and execution with the relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with IT audits and ensure audit observations and compliance items are closed within required timelines.
• Make sure infrastructure solutions and service delivery follow company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable regulatory obligations.
• Create, update, and maintain operational documentation, procedures, standards, and knowledge base content.
• Administer system and network patching, capacity management, performance tracking, and optimisation efforts.
• Review infrastructure performance and suggest enhancements that improve reliability, availability, and efficiency.
• Ensure that data handling, transfer, and processing activities align with governance, security, and company guidelines.

Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in IT infrastructure and IT operations.
• Solid technical understanding of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure cloud, end-user computing, Active Directory, virtualisation, networking, backup and recovery, and security technologies.
• Prior experience in banking, insurance, or other financial services environments is an advantage.
• Understanding of Technology Risk Management (TRM) frameworks and regulatory expectations is preferred.
• Professional certifications in Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud, networking, security, or related areas are an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.
• Exposure to infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, migration work, and transformation programmes.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders, including internal users, business teams, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• A collaborative team mindset and the ability to work well in a fast-moving operational setting.
