IT Manager

About the Role

Astro Offshore, part of the Adani Group, is searching for a seasoned IT Manager to spearhead its IT strategy and operations. This role involves leading a significant transition from outsourced IT services to an internal IT department supporting both corporate and offshore operations. The successful candidate will enhance digital transformation efforts, ensure robust cybersecurity, manage infrastructure, and collaborate closely with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute an IT strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals.
• Oversee the shift from external IT service providers to an in-house IT team.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with IT vendors and partners, guaranteeing consistent service quality during IT function transition.
• Manage daily IT activities across all company locations, including offshore sites.
• Lead projects involving system deployments, upgrades, digital initiatives, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Develop and oversee the annual IT budget, including software licenses, hardware purchases, and asset management.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and propose innovations to boost operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and IT best practices.
• Generate reports and keep senior leadership informed about IT performance, potential risks, and strategic projects.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Adobe, MariApps, PAL, email, and collaboration platforms.
• Promote automation across departments to improve workflows.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity framework encompassing security controls, vulnerability assessments, endpoint protections, and employee awareness programs.
• Offer technical leadership and strategic guidance to support organizational growth and technological advancement.
• Work closely with the Vessel PMS team to implement, configure, and maintain IT systems for the fleet.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in IT leadership or management roles.
• Proficiency in managing enterprise IT infrastructure, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, and business application environments.
• Strong competencies in strategic planning, leadership, project management, problem-solving, vendor relations, cybersecurity, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English, with effective written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
