IT Infrastructure and Operations Administrator

Role Overview

The IT Infrastructure and Operations Administrator takes charge of planning, executing, and managing the organization's IT infrastructure and operational services across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid platforms. This position ensures secure, scalable, dependable infrastructure services, networks, cloud platforms, and user support that align with the company's strategic objectives.

Core Duties

• Direct IT helpdesk and technical support teams to promptly resolve incidents, service requests, and operational challenges.
• Administer Active Directory and Identity and Access Management, including user provisioning, access audits, group policies, and privileged account oversight.
• Oversee the design, deployment, management, and upkeep of key infrastructure elements such as servers, networking hardware, storage systems, telecom, virtualization technologies, OS platforms, system software, and cloud services.
• Manage enterprise and cloud network architecture encompassing LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, virtual private cloud (VPC) or virtual network (VNet) frameworks, network segmentation, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Guarantee that networking infrastructures meet availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and security targets across all environments.
• Administer cloud environments covering provisioning, configuration, identity management, networking, monitoring, resource governance, security compliance, and cost optimization.
• Lead cloud adoption strategies and migration projects including landing zone planning, workload transition, governance procedures, data location compliance, and connectivity arrangements.
• Ensure infrastructure service reliability and continuity adhere to business and SLA requirements.
• Create, maintain, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical systems and cloud services.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and regulatory frameworks, especially NCA and PDPL where relevant.
• Plan and execute infrastructure, networking, and cloud projects within agreed scopes, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with application, cybersecurity, digital, and business units to integrate infrastructure services effectively.
• Handle technical changes, system upgrades, patching, preventive maintenance, and security enhancements for various IT components.
• Monitor infrastructure health, network stability, cloud performance, and resource utilization.
• Address major incidents, coordinate solutions with internal teams and external vendors, and ensure follow-up.
• Compile routine and ad hoc reports on infrastructure status, network availability, incidents, risks, capacity, and improvements.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in infrastructure, networking, and cloud to recommend valuable adoptions.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding infrastructure operations, risks, changes, and project progress.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies, roadmaps, architectures, and standards for infrastructure and operations across all environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, cloud operations, or IT service management, including supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated management of infrastructure operations, enterprise and cloud networks, technical support, cloud platforms, vendor relations, and service continuity.
• Experience in regulated sectors preferred.
• Saudi National candidates only.
• Expertise in IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, telecom, virtualization, operating systems, and end-user systems.
• Hands-on system administration in Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies including TCP/IP, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, segmentation, load balancing, wireless, and monitoring.
• Proficient in cloud networking constructs such as VPC/VNet architecture, subnets, route tables, security groups, cloud firewalls, and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Solid experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud) including IAM, network management, monitoring, governance, security, and cost control.
• Experience in infrastructure planning, cloud migrations, and hybrid/multi-cloud operations.
• Good knowledge of cybersecurity best practices including infrastructure and cloud security, access and patch management, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity planning.
• Familiarity with applicable local regulations including NCA and PDPL compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in both Arabic and English.
