Infection Preventionist

Role Overview

The Infection Preventionist is responsible for employing critical thinking, strong communication skills, and sound decision-making to effectively execute specialized healthcare tasks while working autonomously in high-pressure conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out specialized healthcare-related duties requiring minimal supervision.
• Take appropriate and timely actions during stressful or urgent situations.

Qualifications and Licensure

• At least one year of relevant experience in the field.
• Must hold Florida State Licensure as a Registered Nurse or Medical Technologist. Candidates with a Master of Public Health degree are exempt from licensure requirements.
• Relevant educational backgrounds include Registered or Professional Nursing, Epidemiology, Microbiology, or Public Health (Master’s level).
