Housekeeping Manager

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the complete operations within the Housekeeping Department.
• Maintain high cleanliness and quality standards in guest rooms, public spaces, and staff areas.
• Lead and develop the housekeeping team through training, supervision, and performance appraisals.
• Organize duty schedules and adjust staffing to meet operational needs efficiently.
• Conduct inspections regularly to guarantee adherence to brand and quality standards.
• Address guest requests and promptly resolve any housekeeping issues that arise.
• Manage inventory including linens, uniforms, cleaning materials, and equipment.
• Monitor and regulate departmental expenses to achieve effective cost control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and fire safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and track performance indicators for the department.
• Formulate and execute housekeeping policies, standard operating procedures, and initiatives for ongoing improvement.

Experience and Qualifications

• Possess 5 to 7 years of housekeeping experience within the hospitality industry, including 2 to 3 years in a managerial leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in managing sizable housekeeping teams within hotel, resort, or equivalent hospitality settings.
