Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and warm Hostess to become a key member of our hospitality team based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This position serves as the first point of contact for incoming guests, playing a vital role in delivering a welcoming and seamless experience from their arrival onward. The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, high attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-moving setting.

Core Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls promptly within three rings, using courteous and professional greetings.
• Manage, record, and confirm restaurant reservations and cancellations according to departmental standards, informing management of any changes during shifts immediately.
• Warmly welcome guests at the entrance, seating them based on the floor plan while ensuring equitable distribution among service staff.
• Review reservation logs, pre-assign specific tables, and attend to any special guest requests promptly.
• Keep the hostess station clean, orderly, and stocked with menus and check folders at all times.
• Provide menus to guests and confirm their satisfaction with their seating arrangements.
• Maintain positive guest relationships at all times, addressing any concerns empathetically and professionally.
• Possess thorough knowledge of restaurant offerings and services to answer guest inquiries accurately.
• Monitor seating and guest service to maintain compliance with department standards and operational excellence.
• Handle multiple tasks efficiently, maintaining calm and productivity during peak hours.

• Comply with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Take reasonable care for personal health and safety, as well as the wellbeing of colleagues and the environment.
• Avoid actions that could negatively affect safety equipment or control measures in place.
• Collaborate with management on OSH-related initiatives and promptly report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or near misses.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems as required.
• Be familiar with emergency and evacuation protocols.
• Attend mandatory OSH training sessions.
• Maintain accurate safety records as required by Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island.
• Accept accountability for complying with the company's OSH Management System policies and relevant legislation.
