Role Overview and Responsibilities

The role involves conducting thorough competitive data collection through primary research, third-party sources, and analysis of competitors' public information. Collaboration with sales, product management, marketing, and product marketing teams is essential to develop competitive strategies. The consultant will engage with key consultants and market participants to understand strategies behind wins and losses, and disseminate competitive insights and materials via internal platforms and dedicated sales tools. Delivering presentations and communicating research findings to various stakeholders including product management and executive groups is critical.

Additional duties include managing a detailed win/loss client interview process, organizing an extensive partner and related market vendor fact book, and overseeing market intelligence by tracking key trends and aggregating relevant data. The role also necessitates maintaining a vendor/partner fact book updating management on evolving market dynamics, such as venture capital and private equity activities within the Healthcare IT sector.

Skills and Experience Required

• 1 to 2 years of experience in areas such as corporate strategy, marketing, or competitive intelligence
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite with advanced skills in Excel considered a strong advantage
• Excellent oral and written communication capabilities
• Strong analytical thinking paired with effective problem-solving abilities
• Good organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Interpersonal skills fostering teamwork, openness to feedback, and eagerness to learn
• Creativity is welcomed as a beneficial skill
• Ability to comprehend public financial statements and create financial models using Excel
