About Stripe
Stripe is a leading financial infrastructure platform that powers businesses globally by enabling payments, embedding financial services, supporting custom revenue models, and fostering growth. Our mission focuses on increasing the GDP of the internet, presenting vast opportunities to impact the global economy positively through meaningful work.
About The Team
The Communications team at Stripe is responsible for shaping and maintaining the company's reputation and influence worldwide. We are seeking a strategic and innovative communications leader to guide our regional efforts across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Role Overview
We are looking for a candidate who is both a strategic thinker and practical executor—someone who can integrate diverse perspectives to formulate a strong communications plan while executing ambitious projects efficiently. The ideal candidate understands regional economic trends, financial infrastructure's role in growth, and excels in managing and mentoring a team of communication leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the communications strategy for the APAC region, including headquarters in Singapore and markets in Southeast Asia and India, to support business growth and user expansion.
- Create and implement innovative communications campaigns that amplify Stripe’s reputation and promote economic development using fundamental and inventive approaches.
- Collaborate with Stripe users and partners to incorporate their experiences and narratives into campaigns and announcements.
- Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders such as users, influencers, journalists, and thought leaders within the region.
- Oversee and support communication leads across APAC countries, including Australia and New Zealand, Japan, and Greater China.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of twelve years’ experience in communications roles with demonstrated expertise.
- Exceptional writing skills are essential.
- In-depth knowledge of the APAC region, preferably with experience across Southeast Asia and/or India.
- Proven leadership and coaching capabilities in managing high-performing teams.
- Strong background in corporate communications with experience in managing sensitive issues.
- Application should include a resume and, if available, writing samples and any other relevant supporting information.
Work Location and Conditions
Position is based in Singapore, with candidates currently residing or willing to relocate. Consideration may be given for an extraordinary candidate in Sydney.
This role is primarily onsite to encourage team collaboration and impact, with an expectation of spending at least half the working time in the office or engaging with users physically. Attendance requirements may vary depending on role specifics and location.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for Singapore-based candidates is between SGD 208,000 and SGD 312,000, with potential adjustments for other locations. This range could represent multiple career levels and will be narrowed based on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends. Detailed benefits vary by location and will be discussed during the recruitment process.
