GS Image and Style Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a GS Image and Style Specialist for the Hub Operational Support team based in Doha. This position involves supervising Image and Style Officers and managing the grooming suite to ensure all products required by the Image and Style Department are available. The role also includes verifying that all ground and lounge staff uniforms and grooming meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to ground staff on grooming standards aligned with company uniform policy.
• Lead practical classes on makeup and skincare for new employees to enhance professional appearance.
• Offer constructive feedback to Image and Style Officers to boost departmental efficiency.
• Recommend improvements to maintain and advance the Image and Style Department regularly.
• Maintain and update grooming/uniform-related policies, procedures, and assessment records on SharePoint for team access.
• Manage procurement and inventory tracking for makeup and grooming supplies to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Coach ground services personnel selected for promotions or role upgrades based on grooming performance.
• Coordinate with the Group Uniforms Department to ensure uniform quality, distribution, and availability meets staff needs.
• Report grooming non-compliance to Line Managers and prepare memoranda for senior management in serious cases.
• Provide regular updates to line managers about assigned tasks and progress daily or weekly.
• Issue special permission letters concerning grooming and uniform issues after validation, and maintain records in Prism.
• Ensure inventory stock records are current and supplies are sufficient, supervised by officers.
• Oversee staff performance reviews, probation processes, and evaluations to comply with HR policies.
• Perform additional duties related to the role as directed by the Head of Department.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least four years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma/Vocational Qualification/Diploma with five or more years in a related field. Experience as cabin crew or a makeup specialist is advantageous.

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English, strong managerial and communication skills, and current expertise in skincare and makeup application. Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel is required. The role demands the capability to train staff in grooming and conduct effectively while embodying strong mentoring and coaching abilities. Familiarity with uniform handling processes is preferred.
