Position Overview

We are hiring an experienced Glove & Barrier Lineworker to join our Cambridge, Tasmania team. This role involves constructing, installing, and maintaining electricity distribution networks. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team to keep the network safe, reliable, and cost-efficient, playing a vital role in the ongoing growth and modernization of this essential service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings and network line diagrams accurately.
  • Build and maintain electricity distribution networks following company policies, quality standards, health, safety, environmental procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies involving high and low voltage distribution assets.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven solid technical expertise working with overhead and underground line networks.
  • Experience with external best practice methodologies in similar environments.
  • Current Tasmania Electrical Licence.
  • Qualification in Glove & Barrier work.
  • Valid Australian driver's license; heavy vehicle license is highly advantageous.
  • Possession of a White or Blue Construction card.
  • Willingness to travel across Tasmania, including extended or overnight trips, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
