Role Overview

We are currently recruiting a dependable General Hand to join our team at Oxley Park, New South Wales. Working under the guidance of the Yard Supervisor, this role contributes to the safe and productive operation of our recycling yard through tasks such as scrap sorting and equipment cleaning. This position involves hands-on outdoor work and offers full training for successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate machinery including forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Identify, sort, and grade various ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety throughout the yard.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.
• Exemplify a proactive approach towards workplace safety and regulatory adherence.
• Assist with general yard duties and support operational needs as required.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a valid forklift license is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with the capacity to learn to distinguish various metal types.
• A positive mindset paired with eagerness to acquire new skills.
• Capability to safely perform physical work in an outdoor yard setting.
• Demonstrated teamwork and cooperative attitude.
