Food Counter Attendant

About the Role

This permanent position as a Food Counter Attendant involves performing a variety of tasks essential for supporting food service operations. The role requires no prior educational credentials or work experience, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Package take-out orders accurately and efficiently.
• Measure and wrap food portions properly.
• Prepare and heat simple food items to completion.
• Serve customers at food counters or buffet stations.
• Replenish supplies in refrigerators and salad bars.
• Take customer orders courteously and accurately.
• Operate manual and electrical equipment to clean, peel, slice, and trim food ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
• Remove garbage and trash from kitchen spaces promptly.

Support Programs

• Conducts diversity and cross-cultural training sessions to foster welcoming and inclusive work environments, particularly supporting newcomers and refugees.
• Provides customized on-the-job training and awareness sessions targeted at youth employment inclusion.

Additional Information

• Work hours are 40 hours per week.
• The working language is English.
