About the Role
This position is ideal for professionals with a background in Financial Planning and Analysis seeking to transition into a role focused on data and analytics within a business partnering context. Located in Dublin with a hybrid work option, this role offers the opportunity to engage with a global analytics community at Aon, aiding senior leadership in translating complex data into strategic business insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with regional teams to deliver analytical insights and support implementation of the team's analytic tools.
- Source and manage large datasets while addressing data quality issues, validating findings, and applying business logic to produce impactful analysis.
- Oversee projects and initiatives to meet delivery deadlines effectively.
- Work closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders to execute recommendations that drive operational and strategic improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across multifunctional teams to foster collective success.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and guide change management processes.
- Communicate complex financial and analytic concepts clearly to senior management, facilitating informed decisions.
- Assist in the design, deployment, and validation of new analytic products and solutions.
- Collect and translate end-user requirements into clear specifications for development teams.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience in Business Finance, including budgeting and forecasting, with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Motivation to grow into a business analytics consultant role, focusing on business partnering rather than data science.
- Strong aptitude for managing unclear or ambiguous situations by breaking down problems, formulating actionable plans, and adapting strategies based on evolving data.
- Growth mindset with willingness to learn proprietary financial models such as cost allocation.
- Excellent collaboration, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to present complex information succinctly.
- Strong organisational capabilities, including multitasking and prioritisation.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, SQL, and VBA is advantageous.
