Field Specialist IV - Tubular Running Services (TRS)

Job Overview

This role involves performing Tubular Running Services (TRS) operations with safety and precision on offshore drilling rigs. The specialist is responsible for operating, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting TRS equipment, ensuring all activities align with corporate health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct TRS operations safely and effectively in offshore drilling rigs.
• Operate and maintain TRS tools and associated equipment, identifying and resolving technical problems promptly.
• Adhere to Weatherford’s health, safety, environment (HSE), quality, and operational protocols during field activities.
• Strive to minimize Non-Productive Time (NPT) and deliver reliable operational outcomes.
• Monitor tool performance to detect potential risks ahead of failures.
• Provide support for offshore deepwater drilling operations and ensure equipment is ready prior to deployment.
• Collaborate with client personnel, drilling crews, and offshore teams throughout operational phases.
• Keep precise records of operational activities, service reports, and job documentation.
• Engage in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments before starting operations.
• Assist in training junior field specialists and team members, fostering knowledge transfer.
• Manage proper handling, upkeep, and storage of all tools and equipment.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication in offshore work environments.
• Support initiatives aimed at boosting operational performance and service quality.
• Comply with company policies, industry regulations, and offshore safety guidelines at all times.

Qualifications

Mandatory:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years’ experience within the oil and gas industry, specifically field operations.
• Proven hands-on experience in Tubular Running Services operations.
• Exposure to offshore fieldwork, ideally in deepwater drilling environments.
• Experience working on offshore rigs under challenging conditions.
• Relevant offshore certification(s) valid for the role.

Preferred:

• Technical certificate or diploma from an accredited technical or vocational education institution.
• Prior familiarity with Weatherford TRS tools and offshore operational systems.
• Understanding of offshore drilling and completion procedures.
