About the Role

As a Field Engineer at Cursor for the APJ region, you will serve as the technical ambassador for the company, working closely with potential and strategic enterprise customers. Your role is pivotal in assisting clients with evaluating Cursor's offerings, conducting proofs of concept, and demonstrating the comprehensive benefits of AI integration in their development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Executives to drive technical discovery sessions, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Forge strong relationships with engineering leaders, architects, and developers by acting as their trusted technical consultant.
• Convert customer requirements into practical solution designs, offering guidance on best rollout techniques, prompt strategies, and context setups.
• Create and deliver tailored technical presentations, whiteboard discussions, and interactive workshops addressing client needs.
• Serve as the client’s technical representative internally, advocate for their feedback, and influence product roadmap and engineering decisions.
• Work alongside post-sales teams to guarantee seamless customer onboarding and success.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of Cursor’s functionalities and competitive positioning to effectively communicate value propositions.
• Assist in strategic account management and promote growth opportunities through technical validation.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage developers in coding as well as present confidently to CTO-level stakeholders.
• Strong comprehension of the software development lifecycle, current engineering organizational structures, and challenges related to developer productivity.
• Technical proficiency sufficient to navigate complex environments, including AI tooling and debugging, though not necessarily a full-time developer.
• Customer-centric mindset skilled at translating technical specifics into tangible business advantages.
• Prior experience in Field Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Pre-Sales, or Consulting within the enterprise software arena.
• A resourceful and adaptable individual who flourishes in startup cultures by proactively delivering solutions.
