Job description

Role Overview

Become a valued member of Tassal's Southern Operations team in Dover, Tasmania, as a Farm Attendant. This role offers daily engagement on the water and contributes directly to the success of the team and the company’s mission.

Daily Duties

  • Maintain fish welfare by closely monitoring the health of the salmon, ensuring high standards in fish husbandry.
  • Skillfully place nets in the designated areas to create favorable conditions for the fish's growth and harvest readiness.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as inspecting pens, nets, and feeding equipment, and carry out regular maintenance duties as required.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and all regulatory compliance standards.
  • Provide assistance with harvesting operations when needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession or willingness to acquire Coxswains NC2 certificate is preferred.
  • Certificate III in Aquaculture desirable or readiness to obtain it.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and proactive approach to duties.
