Role Overview
This position is responsible for organizing and delivering firm events from the earliest planning stages through final wrap-up. A background in corporate event work is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and run important firm functions such as practice group receptions, client dinners, seminars, alumni events, and other hosted gatherings.
- Support end-to-end event project management, including venue sourcing, menu planning, invitation design, RSVP tracking, guest list coordination, onsite staffing, transportation arrangements, and post-event follow-up.
- Work closely with vendors, internal teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate event planning and execution.
- Share event schedules, timing details, and logistical requirements with relevant stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities
All employees are expected to safeguard firm and client information by following the organization’s information security policies. This includes protecting firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or interference, and promptly escalating any security incidents, suspected risks, or related concerns to management.
Qualifications
The role calls for strong project coordination, organization, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. Familiarity with New York venues and vendors is preferred. The ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a polished and service-focused attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and adapting to change. Comfort collaborating with lawyers, staff, and vendors at all professional levels is also important.
