Engineering Program Manager, Data Solutions & Initiatives

We are searching for a highly skilled and technically proficient Engineering Program Manager to oversee the execution of significant strategic business programs. This position demands translating complex product and technical strategies into detailed, actionable plans while being deeply engaged with the technical aspects of delivered solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of intricate engineering programs from initial concept, through launch, to post-launch support, aligning with product, technical, and business goals.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to establish program scope, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, timelines, and success criteria.
• Implement rigorous project management practices across the entire software development lifecycle by planning, tracking, and measuring progress against milestones and quality standards.
• Facilitate cross-functional Agile execution forums, such as Scrum of Scrums and sprint ceremonies, to maintain project momentum and team alignment.
• Engage actively in technical discussions, including requirements gathering, design evaluations, and architecture reviews to understand system interdependencies, evaluate trade-offs, and uncover risks early.
• Identify delivery risks and bottlenecks proactively, resolving blockers to ensure smooth program flow.
• Influence decisions on technical and operational matters by leveraging thorough understanding of system architectures, data flows, infrastructure, and machine learning workflows when applicable.
• Contribute hands-on technical expertise by analyzing, designing, debugging, or modifying systems to unblock teams and validate approaches during program execution.
• Utilize knowledge of modern programming languages and technologies to review code, prototype solutions, and support technical decision-making as needed.
• Collaborate with product and QA teams to validate features and guarantee delivery quality that meets business objectives and user needs.
• Manage resources and budgets effectively, including capacity planning and trade-off analysis.
• Provide clear, data-driven updates on program health and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvements in delivery processes, tools, and operating models to enhance predictability, quality, and speed to market.
• Be prepared for occasional international travel.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in engineering program management or related technical delivery roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of managing the complete lifecycle of complex engineering projects.
• Strong technical background with hands-on understanding of system architecture, data flows, APIs, and software development processes.
• Experience leading multifaceted engineering initiatives covering software, platforms, data, infrastructure, and quality assurance.
• Ability to actively contribute to technical problem-solving, including design reviews, debugging, and code or prototype development to unblock progress.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and use of program management tools like Jira.
• Excellent organizational skills to effectively handle ambiguity, dependencies, and competing priorities in dynamic environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey technical concepts and project status to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in capacity planning, milestone tracking, and risk management related to delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP or equivalent program management certification.
• Experience working on AI or ML-powered products, including familiarity with ML lifecycles, data pipelines, and deployments.
• Hands-on familiarity with leading data platforms such as Snowflake, Trino, or Dremio.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau.
• Background in managing large-scale platform or infrastructure programs.
• Experience in high-speed, product-focused organizational environments emphasizing quality and scalability.
• Strong analytical skills to use data-driven insights for prioritization and decision-making.
