Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Engineering Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi who will lead innovative squads within a leading artificial intelligence company. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of front-end, back-end, and machine learning engineers to successfully deliver complex AI projects.
• Develop and enforce best practices for AI model creation and deployment.
• Contribute strategically to the company's AI vision and roadmap.
• Engage directly with clients to lead technical discussions, translating sophisticated concepts into accessible information for non-technical stakeholders.
• Keep abreast of emerging research and trends in AI to promote innovation within the team.
• Champion ethical AI development while addressing challenges in critical industry sectors.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in AI or machine learning engineering, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in natural language processing and deep learning methodologies.
• Practical knowledge of Transformer-based models and large language model (LLM) architectures.
• Proficient in Python programming, with experience using frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed computing and ML infrastructure environments.
• Academic or professional achievements such as publications or patents in AI are advantageous.
