Job description
Overview
White Horse Laboratories seeks a skilled Electronics Test Technician to conduct testing, troubleshooting, and upkeep of electronic components and test apparatus. The role demands familiarity with electrostatic discharge control, quality standards, and electronic circuit diagnostics.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute electrical tests on electronic parts and assemblies.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in electronic components and test fixtures.
- Operate and manage test devices such as DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, electronic loads, and function generators.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration on test setups.
- Adhere to electrostatic discharge protocols following ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards.
- Comply with Quality Management System policies, documented procedures, and testing protocols.
- Accurately document test data and generate test documentation.
- Investigate failures and assist with root cause analysis.
- Maintain an orderly and clean laboratory space.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance test methodologies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma, ITE certification, or equivalent credential in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least two years’ experience in electronics testing or troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with electrostatic discharge control and quality assurance systems.
- Solid understanding of electronic components and fundamental circuit principles.
- Practical experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and related test equipment.
- Capability to troubleshoot and debug electronic boards and components.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret electronic schematics and datasheets.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills
- Background in semiconductor or electronics testing environments.
- Knowledge of IPC standards and ISO 17025 quality management systems.
- Experience with maintenance of laboratory test instruments.
- Competence in soldering and replacing components on electronic assemblies.
