Role Overview
The E3D Administrator will manage and configure AVEVA E3D projects, ensuring seamless database operations and extensive customization. The role includes setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 3D modeling software environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and restore E3D projects including merging, backtracking, and reconfiguring databases.
- Perform DICE checks, create and assign ACRs, and manage database creation and upkeep.
- Create and modify user-defined attributes and element types within the dictionary.
- Administer global projects by setting up hub and satellite configurations, creating locations, assigning databases, and managing extract databases.
- Develop and maintain piping specifications, bolt specs, and catalogs for standard piping components, instruments, and special components.
- Generate review files containing attribute data extracted from the 3D model.
- Configure isometric drawings by setting up back sheets, detail plot settings, and customized isometric generation.
- Customize drawings including sheet libraries, styles, rules, symbol libraries, auto-tagging, auto-dimensioning, and automatic production of drawings.
- Manage software updates, patches, environment variables, and AVEVA Licensing System (ALS) configurations.
- Create multidiscipline reports using Report Designer or PML scripting.
- Provide user support for troubleshooting issues in 3D models, isometrics, and drawings.
- Implement customizations within E3D using PML programming language.
Additional Skills and Preferences
- Experience with E3D Supports (MDS) customization is advantageous.
- Familiarity with other AVEVA software applications is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages will be beneficial.
