About Mayflower Care Home
Mayflower Care Home spans three dedicated floors tailored to residents' unique needs. The ground floor supports general nursing and late-stage dementia care. The second floor addresses residents with more challenging behaviors, offering increased one-on-one support. The top floor manages a combination of dementia and mental health needs, caring for residents with complex and advanced challenges.
Role Overview
As a Domestic Assistant, you will be crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that promotes wellbeing, dignity, and comfort. This hands-on position demands meticulous attention to detail and adherence to high cleanliness standards, directly impacting daily living for residents.
You will be tasked with cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas, ensuring these environments meet stringent hygiene and presentation standards. Additionally, you will assist with laundry duties, ensuring residents' personal belongings are handled with care and returned properly.
Collaborating closely with the broader care team, you will comply with infection control guidelines, health and safety protocols, and cleaning procedures to execute tasks safely and effectively. Your work helps create a well-organized, respectful, and comfortable setting for all.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay rate: 2.71
- Paid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks

- Annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks (pro-rated for full-time contract)
