Role Overview
The Los Angeles Chargers are looking for a strategic, imaginative, and performance-focused partnerships specialist to design and deliver sponsorship solutions that stand out. In this position, you will help guide the partnership development process by blending storytelling, analytical insights, and collaboration across teams to build persuasive proposals that support revenue growth and strengthen partner value. This is a role for someone who enjoys sports marketing, experiential programs, and building partnerships that create real impact for both brands and the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a creative thinker and solution-oriented partner who develops sponsorship ideas aligned with a prospect’s objectives and beneficial to both the partner and the Los Angeles Chargers.
- Support the partnership pitch workflow by working with sales and internal teams during discovery, ideation, and presentation building.
- Contribute to go-to-market planning and help develop fresh approaches for bringing sponsorship opportunities to market.
- Gather and use relevant data points that strengthen the value proposition and improve the storytelling in pitch materials.
- Develop strong internal relationships and help coordinate collaboration across departments.
- Use analytical tools and market intelligence sources such as Scarborough and MVP Index to inform strategy.
- Track industry trends, new platforms, and emerging media opportunities to keep proposals current and competitive.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- At least 9 years of full-time experience in sponsorship sales, business development, solutions, activation, or experiential marketing is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is necessary.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Digideck, Salesforce CRM, KORE, and ClearSlide is considered an advantage.
- Background in sports business or sports organizations, especially with NFL exposure, is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Los Angeles market is preferred.
- Excellent strategic judgment and analytical ability are essential.
- Must be highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach are important.
- Ability to handle both long-range projects and fast-turn assignments.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
- Additional duties may be assigned as business needs change.
