About the Role
DAS Health, a fast-expanding healthcare technology managed service provider, is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead the modernization of procurement, licensing, and hardware activities. This position is based onsite at the Tampa, FL headquarters and plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and procurement strategy aligned with business growth and margin improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy geared towards enhancing operational efficiency and margin growth.
- Evaluate current procurement, licensing, and hardware processes to establish scalable and standardized workflows ensuring transparency and compliance.
- Create policies and governance structures to maintain ethical procurement practices.
- Collaborate with leadership and operational stakeholders to ensure procurement aligns with strategic organizational goals.
- Oversee gross margin performance, develop financial models to monitor costs against revenue, and work collaboratively with finance teams to eliminate margin leakage and improve profitability forecasts.
- Manage licensing frameworks for software and technology assets, ensuring compliance, accurate reconciliation, and optimal margins.
- Direct monthly variable billing processes to align with actual client usage.
- Lead hardware procurement and fulfillment operations, streamlining logistics and inventory controls to guarantee timely delivery and exceptional service.
- Act as the primary executive liaison for vendor relationships, negotiating agreements, pricing, and terms to support strategy and margin objectives.
- Monitor vendor performance through key performance indicators and regular reviews, addressing risks proactively.
- Develop reporting dashboards to provide transparency on costs, margins, inventory, vendor performance, and license utilization, driving data-driven decisions and process automation.
- Lead and mentor the procurement and licensing team by establishing clear roles, performance metrics, and development opportunities, cultivating a culture focused on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related discipline; advanced degree or certifications like CPSM or C.P.M. preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive procurement experience, including more than 5 years in senior leadership within technology-driven or MSP environments.
- Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement processes, hardware acquisition, inventory control, and software licensing models.
- Demonstrated success in transforming procurement operations and implementing organizational enhancements.
- Advanced financial skills focusing on margin optimization and cost/revenue analytics.
- Experience navigating complex vendor negotiations and managing large technology-related vendor portfolios.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
