Position Overview
The Demand Planner plays a critical role in forecasting and balancing demand and supply for one or multiple product categories within LG Electronics. This role ensures continuous and adequate product availability aligned with market demands while leveraging strong data analytics and ERP tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sell-in and sell-out data to forecast future demand aligning with market trends and conditions.
- Review inventory status regularly and adjust supply plans to maintain optimal safety stock and overall inventory levels.
- Generate purchase orders based on forecasted volumes to coordinate procurement with manufacturing facilities.
- Manage supply disruptions and coverage plans proactively by realigning volume forecasts to match inbound supplies.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to monitor forecasting accuracy, sales capabilities, and inventory KPIs to fulfill business requirements.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales and operations status reports for various product groups.
- Operate and configure ERP systems to optimize planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock levels, product lifecycle events (EOL and NPI timings).
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in product-level demand forecasting or supply planning within a global sourcing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software including SAP, Oracle JD Edwards, and Manugistics.
