Role Overview

The Data Scientist position involves advancing business outcomes by developing forecasting models and translating organizational needs into actionable analytics to aid executive decisions. This role requires extensive data exploration, model building, and interaction across functional teams to reveal insights from complex and large-scale data.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract and validate data quality from multiple sources.
• Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, detect anomalies, and test hypotheses.
• Develop predictive models employing statistical and machine learning methods.
• Design clear visualizations to communicate analytical results and foster collaborative storytelling with data peers.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, service owners, and leadership to comprehend data needs and challenges.
• Generate impactful reports and presentations conveying insights and strategic recommendations.
• Keep abreast of industry advances in tools and techniques, proposing improvements in data usage.
• Run comprehensive data analyses using sophisticated statistical and modeling approaches to support strategic planning.
• Apply analytical frameworks and hypothesis testing to refine machine learning efforts.
• Integrate advanced AI methods to improve efficiency in data analysis.
• Carry out data sampling procedures as needed.
• Monitor model performance and operational health continuously within business processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related discipline (Master's degree advantageous).
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in quantitative and qualitative research, data science, analytics, or machine learning.
• Solid expertise in machine learning algorithms and relational database systems.
• Background in data science modeling, statistical analysis, business intelligence, or data-driven strategic planning.
• Proven ability to manage technically complex products.
• Strong skills in statistical evaluation and data visualization techniques.
• Fluency in English at a native level.

Physical Requirements

• Extended periods of sitting and computer usage (keyboard, mouse, monitor).
• Some physical activity including walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.
• Occasional lifting or moving objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
