Data Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer for a fully remote 12-month contract position. This role involves transforming data into actionable insights that influence strategic business decisions. The successful candidate will develop scalable data models, create comprehensive reporting, and conduct analyses that impact product and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct and sustain scalable data models utilizing SQL and dbt.
• Establish and monitor essential business and product metrics.
• Analyze datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and highlight areas needing improvement.
• Plan, design, and assess A/B testing experiments to validate hypotheses.
• Enhance data quality via rigorous testing, thorough documentation, and adherence to best practices.
• Automate reporting workflows and data processes wherever feasible.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or Business Intelligence roles.
• Proficient in SQL programming.
• Hands-on experience with dbt or comparable data transformation frameworks.
• Familiarity working with cloud-based data warehouses, specifically Databricks.
• Strong grasp of data modeling principles and analytics best practices.
• Knowledgeable in statistical methodologies and capable of designing A/B tests.
• Comfortable using Git and managing code versioning.
