The successful candidate will work across teams to connect business questions with data, identify trends, build reports and dashboards, and support better decision-making in a mission-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the link between business stakeholders and the analytics function, ensuring data work is aligned with organizational priorities.
- Produce recurring performance reports with recommendations aimed at improving engagement, retention, acquisition, and lifetime supporter value.
- Support fundraising strategy by helping optimize portfolios, evaluating success rates, and uncovering opportunities and gaps.
- Collect, prepare, and examine data from internal systems, surveys, and web analytics to identify patterns and insights.
- Create and maintain predictive models that help rank prospects, estimate goal achievement, and support resource planning.
- Develop dashboards and reports that are easy to use, visually clear, and efficient.
- Work with fundraising, marketing, and operations teams to assess program impact, including A/B testing and summarizing findings with recommendations.
- Bring together historical business performance information to support future planning and analysis.
- Help establish and improve KPIs, benchmarks, and measurement methods for organizational programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or graduate-level education in data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, market research, or a similar area.
- Strong SQL and Python skills, with experience handling varied datasets and applying methods such as regression, clustering, and time-series forecasting.
- Experience building dashboards in Power BI or a similar platform, including use of DAX for calculated fields and measures.
- Demonstrated ability to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations that improve business results.
- Excellent documentation abilities, with the capacity to clearly record business processes and code logic for teamwork and future upkeep.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, detail-conscious, and solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative, team-first style.
